Loving Your Body

By Jan Brooks

You hate it.

It's too fat

Too flat

Too saggy

Too skinny

Too much stretch marks

And it's all because of those remarks

That you just hate it.

But then you should remember

How much it did for you

When times you needed to go somewhere

Your feet carried you there

Or remember when you had a cold

And your immune system had it under control

It fights to keep you alive

Just so you can survive

Sometimes you should treat her

With fruit smoothies, and other healthy goodies

I don't know what else to say

But I hope this poem touches you in a special way

Author Notes: Love your body. You are God's creation.
