Miley Mouse had a superpower

No, she was not strong and could not fly

She could not spin webs or be invisible

And she could not jump really high

To Miley her superpower was a curse

It stood out like black feathers to a crow

Her superpower was… that whenever

She told the truth her ears would grow

If she saw the sun, she would say

“The sun is out,” which was no surprise.

Her mouse ears would wiggle, she would giggle

And they would grow double in size.

If she saw Stevie Skunk spray her way

She would have to tell the truth

All she would think… was that Stevie Skunk stinks

And her ears would grow and move

The animals near the house of Miley Mouse

Would ask her questions all the time

She would try to not tell a lie

Miley was caring and kind

Mr. Magpie baked all kinds of pies

They tasted terribly gross

He asked Miley Mouse while at her house

To tell him which pie she liked the most

Miley was seated and tried not to eat it

The crust tasted like cardboard and dirt

She could not lie, and said, that’s a horrible pie

And her ears grew well over her shirt

Mrs. Magpie was mad that she called his pie bad

She saw her big ears growing before her eyes

She started to cry and did not ask why

All because Miley didn’t like his pie

Then came Mr. Brown Cow, he said, How Now?

Miley Mouse and her truthful ears looked up

Could you take a sip and tell me what you think

And poured Miley chocolate milk into a cup

Miley could see it was chocolatey

But as she drank it, she frowned

Her ears started to wiggle, she let out a giggle and said

This is the worst chocolate milk around

Mr. Brown Cow left the house of Miley Mouse

Upset that his chocolate milk tasted like slime

Miley started to cry, no one would come by

Because she was honest all of the time

To her it felt like a curse nothing was worse

The tears rolled down on the cheeks of Miley Mouse

But while she was napping something must have happened

Mr. Brown Cow and Mrs. Magpie came back to her house

“Miley you were right, my pies were disgusting

You were the only one that didn’t lie

So I took a baking class and I passed

And I have a pie for you to try”

It was noon and Miley got out a spoon

And tasted one bite of that pie

Her ears wiggled she started to giggle

“It’s awesome and I can’t tell a lie”

She also tasted Mr. Brown Cow’s milk

It was a brand new chocolate recipe

Her ears grew and moved as she stated,

It is sooo good and oh sooo chocolatey

Miley did mention that she got attention

From everyone looking at her ears to move

So because of all that, she wore a hat

And the hat would forever hide the truth
