The numbness sets in,
I am in the dark,
So far from a win,
No chance of a spark,
Thoughts race through my mind,
Can't sort them out,
Scared of what I may find,
Secrets hidden, without a doubt,
The pain amplifies as I try to run,
A serious game that knows no fun,
Step back from this chaotic dream,
Things aren't as bad as they may seem,
The blindfold comes off and is thrown away,
The truth is uncovered and here to stay.
