CHAPTER I : CAN

INT.TAXI.AFTERNOON

A taxi going through a loud city, inside,a young girl named
Star sits at the back of a taxi with her bag resting on her
legs, she looks happy and comfortable .The driver begins to
smoke and star`s seat is filled with smoke, she changes her
expression with one filled with disgust.

EXT.BEHIND TAXI.AFTERNOON

The city outside the taxi is dull, loud and filled with
smoke.

The taxi is seen from outside, it is yellow and quiet dirty.

Star opens the window of the taxi and throws her bag out, it
lands on the pavement.

INT.TAXI.AFTERNOON

The driver turns around to Star confused and angry.

EXT.BEHIND TAXI.AFTERNOON

The taxi is seen from behind again.

Star jumps off the taxi through the window, she lands on the
pavement.

The driver horns at Star and stops driving for a second but
then continues driving.

EXT.STREET.AFTERNOON

Star takes her bag up around one shoulder and starts walking
in the crowd happily.

EXT.STREET.AFTERNOON

Another young girl named Moon is cleaning trash from the
streets as a volunteer.

As she continues to clean the streets people start throwing
trash to the floor, expecting her to clean it up, every time
someone throws trash to the floor she gets more angry,
another boy passing by throws a can to the floor for her to
pick up but she is already too pissed off.

MOON:
Hey you! Take your trash with you.

The boy doesn't even turn around

BOY:
That's your job

MOON:
(yelling angrily)
I said take your trash

The boy turns around.

BOY:
Are you gonna make me?

Moon gets a switchblade out of her pocket.

MOON:
I can if you want me to

A crowd gathers around to see what is going on.

EXT.STREET.AFTERNOON

Star continues walking and sees the crowd gathered around
looking at Moon. Star moves through the crowd in order to
see what is happening.

Moons opens the switchblade.

BOY:
(nervous)
Look I don`t want any trouble

MOON:
(pissed off)
Just take the damn can with you

The boy runs away scared without taking the can. The crowd
stop watching and start moving. Star still stands there
watching Moon.

Moon looks tired.

MOON:
(sighs)
What a waste of humanity

Moon puts her switchblade away in her pocket and just when
she is about to kneel down to get the can, Star comes and
takes it for them.

Moon is confused.

Star stands up and stretches her hand so that Moon can take
the can.

STAR:
(smiling)
Here

Moon still confused but smiles and takes the can

SCREEN GOES BLACK

MOON:
