My Dear One

By Mitzi Danielson-Kaslik

My Dear One,

I long for you as the shore

Longs for the sea to wash away

All its pain and scars and leave it

To return only one long moment

Later, I long for you like the long

Night longs for the stars to fill

The chaos and fear with order and

Light- the night longs for the stars

That bless it like a diamond cast

Within silver, making the ring whole.

I long for you more than I long for anything

And I will be here, until you come home to

Me.
