My Mind

I am always in my mind,

Living there second of my time.

Far away from the world,

My mind spinning as it twirled.

Living a different life,

Without any of my strife.

Where I can love free,

Or just simply be.

Away in the clouds,

Or even in a crowd.

Thinking almost every day,

Of a place I could stay.

Away from all my pain,

Far from every stain.

For as I breathe,

Running through the trees.

Never having a fear,

And not shedding a single tear.

For here in my mind,

I am free for the rest of my time.
