I talked to Taylor earlier. It seemed like she was mad at me. She kept getting distracted and looking out the window through the cracks between the boards. But there's nothing out there, so the only reason she would be looking away is to get a message across.
First I asked her about how she slept, and she told me to guess. I didn't want to, so I dropped the subject. We don't talk about Mrs. Alfred, or any other adults, so I can't ask about her family. Besides, we're a family. And Taylor has always been the least annoying of the six--no, five--of us. She's calm when I need calm, and never angry, because I never need anger.
But she kept looking out the window with her dull green eyes, ignoring me. A distance away. Sometimes she needs distance.
So I gave her some more.
