Ocean Air

By vynsco

She always seemed happier when she was by the ocean.

She sat near the shore, watching the waves crash against the burnt sienna sand, the sun was slowly setting across the horizon, painting the sky a plethora of beautiful colors. She always seemed at peace when she sat near the sea, it provoked an unusually calming emotion. She closed her eyes and listened to the sounds of the water, splashing her feet in the shallow shore, it was total, and absolute tranquility. It was like each deep breath of ocean air cleansed out her mind, and the bad thoughts melted away. Of course, she knew that she couldn't stay there forever and that everything would come back eventually, but at that particular moment, she was truly happy.

Author Notes: This is my first time submitting my writing here, and I'm not quite sure that if it even fits, nevertheless, I hope you enjoy my little midnight musing.
