One Window
By LeCat127
One window is all I need to see
What outside my mind lays;
One window is all I need to flee
The grasp of harder days.
Someday I may forget the door
Which closed away my dreams;
Someday I may turn ‘round once more,
For life’s not what it seems.
One window is all I need to turn
Away from blinding dark;
One window is all I need to burn
Though I am just a spark.
Author Notes: Another poem from my ninth grade anthology. This one I'm still pretty happy with, especially since I can still relate it to my life. Hopefully other people like it, too.
