Perfect Paradise

look at me
do you see in my eyes
my perfect paradise
tearing apart
the once calm waters
now crashing on the broken shore
waves spilling out my eyes
and streaking down my face
the stars once shining
sputter out
I started with stars in my eyes
but my sun didn't rise
and I'm left with an empty night sky
Author Notes: the song lyrics "look into my eyes, tell me what you see. perfect paradise tearing at the seams." inspired this poem...hoped you like it :)
