PERSONAL EVERESTS
By hercules
Everyone has a personal Everest to summit in life.
Our personal Everests have great faces, many routes and places to camp.
Every camp, marks the end of a stage in one’s personal ascent.
However, no route up a personal Everest is easy, far from it.
There are many obstacles and challenges to face – obstacles and challenges like sheer walls, gaping crevasses, overhangs and corniced ridges.
Avalanches thunder down the slopes, crevasses open up, whiteouts occur and storms roll in.
Obstacles and challenges on a personal Everest can create setbacks at times. One might have to descend a level or more, maybe all the way back to basecamp.
The summit may not be reached by taking one route, but by another. It may take two or three attempts, maybe more.
The important thing is, to never give up.
As the old saying goes (If at first you don’t succeed, try, try, try again.)
If one goes by the old saying, they will reach the summit of their personal Everest.
