Playing in the Rain

By Mitzi Danielson-Kaslik

I still play in the rain.

I still jump in puddles

And see the reflections

Of myself with their

Watery depths, but I

See a girl I’m not sure

I know. She’s older and

Far prettier than me

She knows so much more

About life and love but yet

There is still so much more

She needs to know of everything

No matter how much she

Knows she can’t know everything –

But yes, I still play in the rain.
