I saw a video this week-- a clip of a mother's speech to the California senate begging them not to pass a bill making "gender affirming" a child's transition a requirement for parents. Reading these excerpts as I've typed them out may not convey the absolutely heartbreaking pain in this mother's words, so I will include a link to the video-- It's only 1 minute long and it deserves to be seen.

Here are her words:

"My daughter was taken from her loving home because the state of California claimed I was abusive for not affirming her trans identity.

I lost my daughter over a name and a pronoun.

I promised to call her a male name. It wasn't enough.

My daughter was not a boy trapped in a girl's body. She had mental health issues.

Against my consent, my daughter was given testosterone instead of therapy. The LGBTQ group used her to raise money for them.

The abuse claim against me was finally dropped, but it was too late. By then my daughter was in a horrible mental and physical pain.

My daughter knelt down in front of a train.

She was murdered by gender ideology.

I beg you, stop pushing gender ideology."

This is just one mother's story. There are more where that came from.

Stories like this make me furious. No one deserves to have their family members stolen from them, mutilated and scarred, and eventually taken by the irreversible damage done to both body and mind.

If you ignore or deny these devastating stories, experiences, testimonies and warnings-- for whatever reason-- you need to seriously consider why. This isn't a small issue. Even one child dying this way is far too many, and this daughter is far from being the only one. I firmly believe that by being aware of what's happening, and sharing it with those around us, we can prevent more tragedies like this from happening.
