It's the same story every time

Different motions

Different rhyme,

But end the same every time

Shouting and crying

Always ends in lying,

Always ends in heartbreak,

How many more times

Can I take?

Before I quit trying,

My sense of hope in this all

Is dying,

Where is the happy ending

That I was promised?

It does not exist

I'm stuck in this loop

And the names of past lovers

Becoming an endless list,

When will someone stay

Longer than a day?

I suppose I'll never be able to say

Will I?
