School Returns

By melissak

The first day of school and it's like nothing's changed. Everyone's tired of home and ready for friends and classes. The people are less and the rules got stricter, but everyone acts the same. We still hug and talk to each other, although the mask makes it weird. I'm sure all the little kids are being ninjas and are ready to play. Normal as it seems there's something missing. The people who are home. They aren't with me. This mask hides our smile, frown, and fear. No one can see it as clear.
