She's Crying Again
By hazel basil
She's crying again
her eyes are red
and her face is flushed
she's breathing heavily
and can't stop crying
she yells at herself to stop
"why are you crying?!"
she'll scream
"there's nothing wrong with you!"
although she knows there is something wrong
she just doesn't want to burden anyone
so she hides behind a smile
and only when she's alone
she'll collapse on the floor of her bathroom
and cry her heart out
"you're fine"
she keeps telling herself
"you don't have a reason to be crying"
she says
yet she continues to cry
I long to tell her
to tell her it's okay
to talk to me
so that next time when she cries
her tears won't fall alone
