Show Time
By Amber Jones
The thing about this little boy is
he goes unnoticed unless he shows his trophy
he seeks the attention he so freely gives. It’s almost like
the real him is invisible
he goes unnoticed unless he shows his trophy
lost in goals, competition, and achievements
but performance is a facade
he seeks the attention he so freely gives, it’s almost
like by convincing others, he’ll convince himself too
but the truth of the matter is
the real him isn't invisible, the darkness is still there
the flaws and aches are still alive
and there’s no hiding that
Author Notes: Just a Trimeric for thought, they’re kind of an odd form of poetry in my opinion😆
