Poor little songbird,

Trapped in that cage,

Singing away

all of its mournful day,

Poor little songbird,

Belitted by the others,

Always alone,

It sings a sad tone,

Poor little songbird

doesn't know how to fly,

How could they say it could

Why would they lie?

Poor little songbird,

Raised to be used,

Its singing abused,

Poor little songbird,

Wanting out,

But not knowing

how to live outside the cage,

How to live about

Poor little songbird,

They ruined you,

And all you can do is sing
