Superheros and Villains-Part Six

(Scarrlett Steam´s pov.)

¨ I am glad I did.¨ I respond, cheeks slightly red. She chuckles,¨what are you doing?¨ I ask, trying to change the subject, to dissolve the awkwardness. ¨ I just helped Carter pack up some of his things, he is moving in with James for awhile.¨ I smile,¨I am glad they are okay.¨ She laughed,¨ they all are. What are you doing?¨

I frown, slightly not intirely sure how to answer, so I decide to go with the truth. ¨ Laying on my bed, bored.¨ I answer rolling over and sitting up. Walking over to my desk and grab my laptop. ¨ I am bored too. They did not take me with them.¨ I laugh,¨ are they your only friends?¨ I ask before realizing how the words sound,¨ sorry that was rude.¨ She chuckles,¨ no it wasn´t. No, I just hang out with them. It is awkward sometimes because they are dating.¨ I nod understanding, ¨yeah that sometimes happens.¨

¨Who do you hang out with at school or on the weekends?¨ She asks. ¨ No one really. I normally stay home and watch netflix.¨ I scroll through my search history, looking for a song. ¨How would you like to come over and watch a movie?¨ I ask, with a burst of courage. ¨Um, yeah. Where do you live?¨ I smile,¨ Lincoln Drive 38. Do you just want me to pick you up?¨"She laughs,¨no I can ride my bike. It is only like five blocks. I will see you soon. Goodbye.¨ The line goes dead and reality sets in.

I rush around my room; shoving forgotten clothes in drawers, throwing away balled up paper, and making my bed. It takes about twenty or so minutes for me to clean my room up, my phone vibrates with a message.

Eden: I am here.

Scarrlett: Coming.

I rush out of my room, down the stairs, and to the front door. I open the door and smile at her.

¨Hi.¨ She says, voice low.

¨Hey.¨ I reply.
