A Sweet Pale Rose

By Optimism101

Petals drift down toward the ground so close

From a flower who lies oh so ever near

I have never seen such a sweet pale rose

Something I know that I could never fear

Its stem grows tall through the dark brush, a sign

It’s leaves so pure and trim that it gives hope

To shine against the ever close malign

A savior that helps us all to cope

The ever-warming torch to a cold room

The ever-shining glow to a dark night

It is the warmth to every bold loom

It is the one who stands tall for your light

It’s such a sweet pale rose that I go through

I’m just glad that the sweet pale rose was you

Author Notes: Oh boy writing Shakespearean sonnets is fun (insert sarcasm here) Hope yalls are having a good day and I hope I'm making it better!
