The Bullied Bull
By Anthony E
Trapped in a cage with wheels
Driven proudly into town’s square
Pleaing and snorting aloud
Why was he martyrd there?
.
Pamplona, Running of the Bulls
The chase ends in bitter defeat
Slaying the petrified Bullied Bull
Just a piece of merciless meat
.
Ridiculed and prodded
Ignorant yet growing fierce
Tearing down the cobblestones
It is man’s beastly curse
.
No reprieve, no escape
Tomatoes thrown, fuel the fury
Unprotected people taunt
Then they hurry and they scurry
.
The Bull gorges and injures
Easing his pain and scorn
If you come, just remember
Mess with the Bull, You get the horn
.
Author Notes: An ironic take on Bullying.
