The Girl

Once there was a girl. She seemed happy as could be. She never seemed to cry. She never seemed to scream. One day she met a boy. He never seemed happy. He was always alone. He needed a friend. So she stood by him. He kept trying to push her away. She acted like it didn’t bother her. But it hurt her. One day she broke down. He tried to comfort her. She looked him in the eyes and asked,
“Why don’t you love me?”
He wrapped his arms around her and replied,
”oh, darling, I do love you. It’s because I love you I was pushing you away. I don’t want to be the cause of you losing your happiness.”
”you ARE my happiness.”
