The Monster
I can't see the sky, the darkness outside.
I feel something quickly pass me by,
All that I can do is hide,
and hope that they won't find me.
They're afraid and I'm afraid.
"Leave the girl alone," they say.
The monster is somewhere beside me.
The doors shake, the windows break,
the noise is more than I can take.
I hope the monster is not awake.
I feel something stirring inside me.
They're here to save me, but it's too late.
I hope they run, for their own sake.
They don't know the monster is inside me.
