The Player and the Game

By Oxygen

The board is set out

each square a different color,

A different obstacle.

For you to overcome

Or to perish trying.

She’s the queen,

I’m the jester, the harlequin

And it’s well known

Nobody gives to sh*ts about people like me.

He’s the king,

I’m his entertainment,

To be used without any thought.

She’s got gold

He’s got an army

All I’ve got is a hat and no f*cks to give.

I’m just a pawn

In this game,

Just a player being played.

Because all is fair in the game of life.
