THE REALM of ATLANTIS

By hercules

Once upon a time, there was a fine sailor, called Sinbad.

Sinbad sailed the seas in his ship (THE UNICORN).

Very well-known he was too. Well known and highly respected, in every land and kingdom he sailed to.

Kings and queens bestowed upon him gifts and held feasts in his honour.

One day, Sinbad was sailing out in the Atlantic, when he came to the continent of Atlantis.

Atlantis, he discovered, was a glorious land.

It had lakes, forests, rivers, mountains rich in gold and precious gems and luminous crystal caverns underground.

The land was home to many civilizations too.

Kings and queens lived in majestic palaces of marble and gold.

Priests and priestesses served in temples, dedicated to gods and goddesses.

Farmers worked the land. Sowing, growing and harvesting crops.

There were oracles and sorcerers too.

Yes, Atlantis sure was civilized.

Sinbad stayed there for several years, before sailing on.

What he didn’t know, was that one day, Atlantis would be no more. That it would be submerged beneath the waves.

Forever!

Author Notes: This story is set thirty thousand years ago. Way before Atlantis was truly submerged, around ten thousand years ago. Way back before the myths of Sinbad of the Arabian Knights.
