THE SAND SCULPTING COMPETITION

By hercules

One bright Sunny day, a young woman called Kelly went down to the beach to take part in an annual sand sculpting competition.

All the usual competitors were there, waiting to get started.

The sea was far out and the beach nice and long – the perfect spot for the event.

When the competition began, Kelly put her skills straight in action. She spent six hours sculpting, taking a bite to eat and a drink half way through.

After six and a half hours, the competition ended.

Five dozen sculptures were lined up along the beach, including an Egyptian pyramid, a crocodile, a cat, the Sphinx of Giza, a dog, a snake, a lion, a dolphin, a Stegosaurus, a mermaid, a whale and an Aztec pyramid.

Kelly had sculpted the entire Mount Everest massif. All the ridges, glaciers and peaks, were in the finest detail.

Finally, the judges arrived.

They examined every sculpture and chose Kelly’s.

Kelly had won the competition.
