The Storyteller

By Mitzi Danielson-Kaslik

I could tell stories

Of darkness and light,

Of goodness and evil

And heaven and hell

And of lust and sin

For hours at a time,

If you wished me to

And we could dream

We were the characters

In my stories,

But when you ask

The names of the characters

I would always reply;

“Alas, I cannot tell you

For I want you to believe

It is all merely stories.”
