These Are the Seeds I've Sown
I'm in the hell,
I made my own.
The tolling bell,
My one true home.
I searched for more
It's all I've known.
I'm not enough,
These are
The seeds
I've sown.

A crippled heart,
A tortured teen,
The bloodstained dart,
The metal sheen,
The dreams I dreamed,
Weren't what they seemed,
There's joy for thee,
Just not for me.

I saw the stars,
I heard them scream,
I smelled the smoke,
I felt the seams
Tear open wide
Beneath my feet,
A burning tide,
A magma sheet.

I reached too high,
I shot too far,
I touched the sky,
Then felt the guard
Invisible, a solid gate,
A darker and more lonely fate.

The flaming clouds,
They singed my hair,
The fire scorched
My skin so fair,
The spires of stone
Sliced through my bones
And stole
My only
Smile.
