To Mother

The day I was born was like no other,
Because that was the day you became my mother.
You were there to dry my tears,
And the cause of laughter of past years.
I know we fight and I know we yell,
And I know it sometimes feels like hell.
But every time we forgive each other,
Because that's the bond of a daughter and mother.
We will joke and we will play,
Just like the Times of yesterday.
Thank you for the things you have showed me to see
And all the traits you have given to me.
