trapped

she made a mistake.

she accepted much too soon.

she became wrapped up in somehting bigger than herself.

and she doesn't know how to escape.

the walls closing in faster and faster.

the oxygen being sucked from this entrapment.

her reputation, her relationships, her life, on the line.

clammy palms rub together.

polished nails on metal, scratching, scratching.

the girl struggles to get out.

but it's no use.

the weight of her decision crushes her frail form.

the pressure of those around her keep her from telling the truth.

and breaking the whole thing off.

how is she suppossed to tell him that she's lost feelings??

the girl slumps to the side of her cage.

icy metal biting through flesh, chilling bone

she never thought she'd be the one to dump someone else.

"lost love."

she whispers softly, hot tears bearing down,

drowning her in these chains called love.
