Unbreakable Law- Part Fourteen

(Pine's pov.)
"How could they do this?" Apple questions, kicking at the papers that litter her house. Every one either reads; 'Equal Rights for all,' or 'Law 34: Anyone can marry anyone. Status and sex do matter. Two neighboring kingdoms children can marry whoever they want.' They changer the law, painting it and marking it all over her house. The ceiling, the walls, the furniture, covering every inch of her house. Not a single inch unpainted, unmarked, or filled with papers.
I try to hold back a smile as she stares painfully around at her now ruined house. "Everything is ruined. We have to call of the wedding," I satre at her. "Call it off?" She nods,"just until everything is sorted out. You don't get off that easy." I bite my tongue and nod.
"I am going to head back to the school," she nods. "Be back here tomorrow. " I nod and take off into the chilling night air.

"How did they react?" Nightshade asks, just as he opens the window for me. Nightshade, Lemon, and Oak our the only ones left in his room. "Where are the others?" I retailiate. He sighs,"they got tired of waiting for you. We will tell them tomorrow." I nod and take a seat on the floor, leaning back against the wall. A jacket smacks me in the face, I groan, but pull it around me.
"Thank you," I say, opening my eyes slightly, and nodding towards Nightshade. Who just smirks like he knows a secret, I ignore it, and lean back against the wall. Staring up at the cieling,"Apple was distraught. Her parents just left without a single word and I haven't see my since."
"Hmm, how odd." Nightshade mumbles to himself, staring down at papers on Oak's desk. I jump up and walk over, Lemon does the same, Oak stays seated. Avoiding my gaze. I ignore it and look down at the papers," I don't understand." Lemon shoots me an annoyed look,"it is the blueprint for the next building we are hitting." I roll my eyes,"okay." She copies me and groans, shoving me aside to get a better look.
I sit on the edge of the bed trying not to bother Oak to my best ability. Strong arms pull at me, I turn around to see Oak asleep and tugging on my shirt. 'Um, Lemon." She doesn't look up and flicks her wrist at me, telling me to be quiet. He tugs stronger pulling me down beside him and cuddiling into my side. Slowly and unsurely I wrap my arm around him.
"Get up," Lemon orders. Finally paying me attention. "He is asleep and doesn't know what he is doing." I nod, instantly feeling guilty. I move away and push his hands off of me. "You cannot play both sides, you need to choose. Him or her," I bite my tongue and close my eyes tightly.
I don't have a choice. It is for him, for him.
