Waiting for My Lover to Talk to

By Mitzi Danielson-Kaslik

What does a writer do,

When they find them self,

Without their lover to talk to?

Simple,

A writer writes poetry,

Until their lover returns,

For even though my love,

Is most requited,

I cannot help but doubt it,

When he doesn’t come,

Online for hours,

Though I know he is revising,

I cannot help but worry,

But I know we will talk soon
