Waves
By Ace
The waves crashed against the rocks.
It was so beautiful, the different hues of blue.
Everything was calm.
Boats of different sizes and color banged against the docks.
Birds were everywhere, seagulls flapping their wings as they flew.
The waves crashed against the rocks.
Against the water line, she walks.
The sand falling through my fingers, that was something I knew.
Everything was calm.
The waves rise up as if they were corn stalks.
And her affection for the ocean grew.
Everything was calm.
She slowly peeled off her socks.
And they sat there, the sisters two.
The waves crashed against the rocks.
Everything was calm.
Author Notes: Yay! Another villanelle! I hope you all enjoy it! You might notice that this villanelle is not about loss, but serenity. I chose to change it because I wanted to show that this poem was a little bit more contemporary than the other one I wrote (It's hard to hurt). Stay Happy! :)
