There was a man named Les LeNore
Â
He owned a little store, did Les LeNore
Â
His favorite line, he could not ignore
Â
Was to ask people in his little store
Â
He'd ask, What can I do you for?
Â
He was kind and helpful, that's for sure
Â
All you had to do was open the door
Â
You would hear from anywhere in the store
Â
Good morning, What can I do you for?
Â
His store had everything, gifts and more
Â
Tools and clothes and drinks to pour
Â
All you had to do is smile in his little store
Â
And he'd say, what can I do you for?
Â
He'd show you toys, like a lion that roared
Â
He'd share homemade cookies that all adored
Â
And if you didn't have the money at his little store
Â
He'd still give you the item with a smile and more
Â
Then one night a tornado roared
Â
And shook the store to its' core
Â
The windows broke and so did the floor
Â
The tornado destroyed his little store.
Â
Les sat there silent, next to his broken down door
Â
Then he heard a rustle and bustle he could not ignore
Â
It was the townspeople, the kids, and more
Â
Who came to ask Les a question at his broken down store
Â
He lifted his head and the sad smile he wore
Â
And all said with a grin, What can we do you for?
Â
They all pitched in and fixed up the little store
Â
Treating kindness with kindness, nothing more....
