Why can I not have both
Roots and Wings?
All that comfort from home
And the excitement adventure brings,
Why can I not
Live where is home,
And yet roam?
Why can I not have
a lasting relationship,
And yet be my own?
Why can I not be by myself
Without being alone?
Why can I not be new
And yet stay the same?
Not be uninmportant,
Without the fame?
Why can I not have it all?
It is not at all fair,
And I'm clueless,
Yet aware,
And what a life it is
to have to choose
