Wisdom Song

Spent the day, spent the night

Now answer the wisdom song,

The span of your only life

Is how wide and how long?

Been selfish, rude and greedy

Now answer the wisdom song,

The span of your virtues

Is how wide and how long?

Wasted time, money and labor

Now answer the wisdom song,

The span of your good deeds

Is how wise and how long?

To do your best, now, this time

Tells the wisdom song,

Because to perish from this world

It won't take very long.

Author Notes: Do you know what the fun part is? When I gave this poem to the topper of my class ( to read it) he told me - the answer is wisdom song, right? And my reply was laughter.
