World Without End

By Mitzi Danielson-Kaslik

The day bleeds into night;

Each day bleeds into the next;

A week bleeds into a month and

The months bleed into years of my life.

The day marches on and yet I feel

I do not. The sea crashes in the

Bay like the thoughts in my

Mind. Never ending. Never still.

Never silent.

Time ticks on even if I do not;

Night will come even if I never sleep;

The dawn will rise even if I do not

And the world shall never end

Even if I do.
