You
You
February 23 was a cloudy day
I was dressed up looking pretty gay
I don’t know if you’ll remember
but you shined and seemed to glimmer
I’ve never had a girl give me so much flutters
just the thought makes me shutter
You where stunning with your eyes a blue haze
I couldn’t help myself but to gaze
And it seemed almost a fantasy
when we did a slow dance that you granted me
Our hands clasped together
dancing step by step, wishing it would last forever
yelling over the music, that made your voice a whisper
And my brain telling me, lean over and kiss her
it is a memorable night
mostly because you where a pretty sight
But also because of the feeling you gave me
almost as it’s saying..... we’re met to be
Author Notes: No this poem doesn’t do her justice. She’s beautiful and I hope to have many more days with you.
