The sun is a golden hue as I walk to school. The school is crammed with loud noise.
I pull my sleeves down tight over my wrist, skimming my yes over the floor. A arm snakes itself over my shoulder, I snap my head up.
It's Carter, my best friend. "Hi," I say quietly.
" Hi. "
Time skip
The sign says open; I walk into the dingy little coffee shop. No one else is here so I walk right up to the counter.
"Ice cold caramel latte," I mumble. Pulling my sleeves over my hands. " what's your name, " I look up. A tall, blind guy stands there. He leans over the counter smiling.
Why is he smiling at me? I am dingy; muddy brown hair, pale grey eyes, pale skin, and thin body. At least he cannot see the scars. "Bailey."
he picks up a cup, scribbling my name on it, and walking away. He turns.
"Im Braidy," I nod.
