Blood Moon
By scorp
Like a dream she had drifted from the room,
And like a dream she seemed unreal, and like a dream she was gone.
Like a dream the pale rose drips gold and blooms,
And like a dagger plunged into a protesting heart, the cold night breaks into dawn.
Like a dream she smiles at me, looking down,
And like a pair of lifeless eyes watching every move, I touch the edge of the mind,
Like a dream of a tattered gown, a broken crown,
And like a scream rings, like blood stains on the stone by the moonlight shines,
Like a dream, she was only a shell of a girl,
And like a nightmare in the pits, a sliver of death unfurls.
