Goodbyes

His heartbeat isn't steady,

He clearly isn't ready,

His grip around her tightens,

She feels that he is frightened,

Of letting her go completely,

He tries to do so discretely,

She feels the sadness in his touch,

He know she loves him very much,

Holds in his tears as he wipes hers away,

Wishing she was here to stay.
