Call of the Abyss

I hear the abyss calling
It’s calling my name
I see myself falling
And know who to blame

I resist the abyss’s dance
for it’s tricks i can smell
I once gave it a chance
and fell halfway to hell

Every day the abyss calls
and another man falls
today i can see
that this man isn’t me

Today I’m not weak
but every day is it’s own
i could fall any week
as i fight alone

A day will come when I finally fall
I’ll hear the abyss and return it’s call
I’ll speak out my final goodbyes
as I watch my last sunrise
