A Chain Reaction
Out through the window and just beyond, lies a world where life is good and people are kind. The sun shines brightly and warms the skin. Folk pass by with not a care for me within.I watch and dream to go and play. Mummy said I was naughty one day, but that was so long ago. I think she's gone now. She chained me here and went out for some milk. At first I cried but she never knew. I don't cry any more. I'm brave and tall. That was a hundred years ago now. I'm sure that's true.
