There was a time when the world was simple, when life was nothing more than a series of new experiences and new adventures day after day to be enjoyed alone or with friends. The sun seemed to always be shining and the days lasted forever. There was no nastiness or evil to have to worry about. Life was precious and it was taken for granted that you’d be safe and return home unharmed after being out all day.

When did being a child become so difficult?
And how was it allowed to happen?
