She was just being silly, she was sure of it. It was only a headache, right? People got headaches all the time for all sorts of reasons, didn’t they?

So why had her doctor sent her for the MRI scan? And why had the surgery receptionist called her to make her an urgent appointment?

She sat and waited, willing the pounding in her head to reduce in intensity. It had been six weeks since her head had been pain-free.
