Difference

People who fake their sadness, depression, or anxiety often try to act as sad as possible. But in their head, they hear "What do you want to do today?" and "This is so fun!"
People who suffer from said illnesses often try to act happy, but not too much as to not give themselves away. In their head, they hear "Why is she looking at me like that?" and "They only want to make me feel good so they aren't blamed for my death."
People who fake it often get told "Hi, how are you today?" and "Oh, it's okay, we can get you fixed up."
People who don't fake it often think they get told "Why aren't you dead yet?" and "You're fucking useless."
The people that fake it are attention whores.
The people that don't have their necks in a noose.
Why didn't you tell them they're appreciated. Because, you... you were too busy looking at the 'edgy kid'.
Author Notes: It’s short, but I believe it’s decent.
