Prey thee tell me I implore

Of travelers who too come here by the score

What brings me on this night

To beneath where the moon shines bright

Where silence dwells in the cold

Where just hours ago the heat was bold

What finds me here tonight I do not know

Beneath the moon beams’ watery glow

In this dark dry place I find myself

But I am not alone
