"You know we’re good friends and we like one another, right?"

"Well, of course we are!" Carly giggled. "So what’s the problem?"

"I read what you said on Facebook about wanting to be closer to the guy you consider a good mate. I just want you to know I’m sorry, but I don’t feel that way about you. I’m with Becky, anyway"

"That wasn’t about you," Carly exclaimed, "that was about Spencer, the guy in Despatch, who’s been flirting with me!"

He could have died of embarrassment.
