Falling in Deep

I’m falling.

I’m losing sight of the top.

I can’t see the bottom,

I’m alone in the darkness.

It’s a lucid dream,

I’m sad.

But why is there a smile on my face?

I can’t speak,

I can’t scream.

I claw for help,

Hoping to see a light.

Who am I?

I seem to be losing myself.

I can’t breathe.

I can’t sleep, I can’t hold still.

I can feel myself fading away,

my feelings eating me up inside.

So I cry.

I cry hoping it will end.

I cry hoping there is someone out there,

Searching for me.

I let the darkness close around me.

I let myself fall deeper.
