Friendship
Amber JonesTrue friendship is the guiding hand,
With you wherever you stand,
Down the path of life, so long,
The comforting song,
The loving heart,
That forgives the hurtful darts,
The thoughtful mind,
All the good they find,
Tucked away under all your faults,
Locked away in the vaults of the world,
True friends come to you in your need,
With every good deed,
True friends come to you in your fear,
With a listening ear,
True friends come to you in your worry,
To hear, in worlds’ eyes, a trivial story,
True friends come to you in your pain,
With no thought of personal gain,
True friends come to you in your sorrow,
Not just to let you borrow,
But to give all they can,
There is no secret plan,
Just the selflessness of being there for each other,
And that is true friendship
